Pump It Up with Dustin

Dustin had a blast at Pump It Up with some kids in the ward. It was just what he needed for a Saturday activity. He enjoyed getting out of the house for a couple of hours and playing with his friend Tristan. I had fun watching him have fun.

Dustins 3rd Grade Jazz Program

Dustin had a part in his third grade Jazz program. I only got the last few seconds of his part on tape but if you listen to the other persons solo - Dustin says the same thing. He did such a good job. Yes, this was back in October but I just figured out how to do the video thing on here. Enjoy!

Baby Movie

Adison is so cute! She smiles so much and she has found her tongue. So fun to play with.

Cousins

Ashlee and the kids came over and it only took us about five days for us to get the kids together to get some cousin pictures. It was fun to play dress-up but not so fun becuause the kids were so tired. Acutally, Adison didn't really care. She just sat there with her eyes wide opened letting things happen around her. Ella wasn't so happy about having to sit for a while and Gideon woke up from a short nap and should have been down for a while. It was a long night but after a half hour or so of trying to make kids laugh we got some cute pictures out of it. It was fun have Ashlee and the kids visiting for our last week in Kansas. I can't believe it's going to be so long before we see them again. I don't want to go back to Idaho!!

Daddy and baby

Here are a few picture of Daddy and baby. He's so cute with her. I love catching pictures of them taking naps together. He's so good with her. I wonder how hard it is for daddy being a new daddy because i know how hard it is for me learning to be a mommy. I think he does get more sleep though.

Time out for women weekend

Mom's birthday weekend...we went to Time Out For Women in Kansas City. It was fun to get a motel room for a night and play games and enjoy the music and speakers at the meeting. We were all so exausted that we didn't last long that night playing games. Adi kept me and Ashlee up all night and mom too. Well, Ashlee helped me all night but we let mom sleep as much as she could. We were all so tired the next day but it was still a fun day. happy birthday to mom. We went out to dinner with Jared and Gideon afterwards at a Chinese food place. Ashlee made a cake...cupcakes with different colors representing different hexes from Moms favorite game Settlers of Catan. It was so neat. Great idea!
We also got a couple picture of the cousins' first meeting. Gideon, Ella and Adison. What cute kids!
Also, Ashlee won a drawing for publishing her own free book - up to 80 pages or so. Pretty awesome. Several of us were rooting for her to win that so it was pretty special.
I think mom enjoyed the day too...even if she was way tired through the whole thing. It was a fun trip.

Dustin's yearly Halloween parade was so fun. I was able to go down and follow the parade around. There were so many fun costumes and a classroom party afterwords. There were all kinds of goodies and games. The kids had to reach their hands into a bowl of slimy noodles to find an army man. Dustin went in and out. It took him about one and a half seconds to find that thing. His teacher was telling me what a great kid he is and what a joy it is to have him in class. He is a great kid. I agree. It was an absolutely beautiful day for a parade. The kids got lucky. All 400 kids.

Trees be gone

The big, rotten, nasty trees in our front yard are gone as of October 23, 2009. That's kind of a significant day I guess. Dad calls it a happy birthday present to mom. Lol. It's weird to have them gone. I still need to take a picture of after the trees were removed. Maybe when the stumps are gone gone we can have a nice yard to play football and stuff. Mom wants to plant a nice pretty maple in the yard. Great idea!

How much can I say about her?! I love my baby....we love our Adi! These pictures are kind of in order from leaving the hospital until today. She's three weeks old today. There's her first little bath...she almost slept through it....her first trunk or treat this past Monday- she was a giraffe. She also had the cutest pumpkin outfit on. She came out looking like me and looks so much like Tj now it's crazy cute! She has my ears though...totally. She's not a newborn any more but a baby. I'm feeling better than I was of course but still not perfect. I'm almost out of pain killers so I hope the pain ends soon.
Adi is starting to sleep longer. She sleeps about three hours at a time...at night. Then again it depends on the night. One night I got almost four hours straight and then she woke up and ate for fifteen minutes and slept another three hours. That was a good night. I'm starting to really get the hang of this now though...slowly but it's coming. I'm so glad we're here at mom and dad's right now. It sure is a blessing for us and for me right now with learning to be a mommy. It's hard work!
I finally lost the water weight after two weeks of being not pregnant. I automaticallhy felt 90 percent better after that. My hormones started to equal out too. I actually enjoy going out and being with my husband...well, i always do enjoy those things don't get me wrong...but my whole outlook on things is so much brighter now and...well, that might be because I'm starting to get a little more sleep too. It's hard being cooped up in the house all day too. I try to find things around the house to do and I'm still figuring out the baby feeding thing. I guess I'm "very" fortunate to be producing milk ...a lot...but I'm still not sure what's fortunate about the mass amount that's producing. It's been making me pretty miserable but I think I'm starting to figure that out too. Wow! There's a lot that comes with being a new mommy. My mom has been such a great help and Ashlee gave me some good advice and stayed up with me all night when we went to Kansas City together. Of course everyone has great advice to give all the time.
I haven't taken Adi out much but we spent the day out today. Mom and Dustin have no school and work since Tuesday and we all went to run errands today and it was really nice to be out of the house. Now I'm sitting here blogging when I should be getting everything done that I didn't do today when we were out. it's been a good day.

Baby Adison

Adison Irene Hunter
6 lb 15.8oz - just under seven pounds
18 inches long
lots of dark hair!
Beautiful complexion
long legs, toes and fingers
Baby Adison is finally here. Glad there was no big surprise at delivery. We teased about her coming out a him...I would have cried even more if that happened.
So glad she is here. It's just starting to set in that I am a mommy now. She's so good and cute and so pretty! It's amazing how much hair she has...so beautiful. I get all emotional every time I see her. She's just so....beautiful!
The hospital people spoiled us and were so wonderful at helping me learn...a lot. I know there is still a lot to learn about being a mom and it sure is hard but it's worth it. Being a mommy is hard work and I'm only in the first stages.
Now I'm looking forward to being not sore and losing some of this weight. The doctor said the medicine I've been on makes the body retain water but there's a lot more retaining besides the water.
As far as the whole delivering the baby... what a memory. I sure don't want do that again any time soon. I definitely could not have done that without TJ and mom by my side.

Family Reunion 2009

The family reunion was so fun this year. Whitnee's husband Derrick was out of state and Ashlee and her family could not attend because she was too pregnant, but other than that we had a great turn out. Camping at Island Park was wet but just like I remember. The family hasn't all been together in so many years...at least not at Island Park.

It was great to see everyone. There was a lot of rain, especially on the day we went through Yellowstone. What memories. We had to find a place to eat but ended up pulling off in a picnic area and making sandwiches in the car and distriuting them around. Crazy memories.

We all saw Footloose in West Yellowstone and had a nice lightening storm on the way back to the camp sight. It was neat. I remember Dustin falling asleep for a few minutes because he was too excited about it and stayed up too late with all the cousins. So funny. Great show.

After Island Park we went to Grace and attended the fair and the rodeo was there too. The following Saturday there was a big Millward reunion in Pocatello and a great talent show. Dad and Max and Bella and Cody all did tricks and magic tricks and Dustin adn Whit showed off Mia puppy's tricks. It was fun. Great to get a picture of everyone. I love family reunions. I'm glad Dad was able to come up for everything too.
The best part of the reunion was having over thirty people at Grandma Graces house with one bathroom. It was funny to look around and see where everyone was sleeping. No floor space available after everyone settled. So fun though.

Graduation

Finally I'm posting someting about graduation. It only took five years but I graduted BYU-Idaho on July 23, 2009. It's great to be done...I think. It hasn't set in yet. Now, I'm just busy being pregnant and wanting to have my baby here already. I have no idea what I'll do wen we're back in Idaho come January. Just run ahousehold to start with I guess. It'll be different not having homework.
It was so fun to see everyone for graduation. Mom and Dustin came and Whitnee surprised us too. Grandma Grace, Grandma and Grandpa and the Lloyds came and TJ's dad Ted flew in. We had a great dinner. Mom was awesome at putting it all together. We had so much food left over that TJ and I ate it all for another week after. It was a long week having to move out of our first apartment, have family come for graduation, fix up a big dinner, clean the whole house, and woe is me...pregnant it was a lot harder keep on my feet. Tj was great at getting everyting done. He had a ton of finals all that last week too. Mine were pretty easy. I'm so proud of all that he got done that week. He was so patient with me too.
After everything....graduation was great and the speakers and all the family visiting...but it also felt like a means to an end. We'll see how everything feels when back at Rexburg though. All in all I'm grateful for my time in school and for all my families support. I couldn't have made it through the last few semesters without TJ's patience and help. I love family. Couldn't have made it through school without everyones support.

Half Way There Baby!

Hello again from Rexburg! We have a nice little rain storm tonight. Too bad there's not lightening like good ol' Kansas. Miss those storms.
We're glad the weekend is here. Things have been crazy busy lately. We had some fun things happen this week starting with TJ's birthday on Wednesday. He got a new drivers license this week and we got new plates for our car. Okay, that's not as fun but Wednesday was fun. We had some old roomates and friends and cousin Jon come over for cake and ice cream for a little bit. It was good to see everyone. I still haven't taken down the decorations because the colors are a nice change here for now.

TJ enjoyed opening several cards and packages this week. He got a new white shirt for his suit because he wears it about four or five times a week with his work and church and things. He got some socks--don't guys always need those? Also, he got a Boston Red Sox had and a new PS2 baseball game he's been wanting. He's playing it right now actually. It's a good release for him when he gets stressed or just wants to play...and I don't mind it either.
My mom has been doing some shopping this past week. TJ got a few pairs of jeans, which he needs, and some shorts and a couple of nice shirts. I got some stuff too. I guess mom found some good garage sales for maternity clothes. We got the package today and I'm so happy to finally have pants that I can actually wear and that don't hurt my belly. And the shirts are so cute. I can actually look cute as a pregnant woman with clothes that actually fit! I can't say how exciting that makes me!

Okay, last post for now. I'm in a childrens sewing class, which I love. Here are a few things I've made. We started with the hat, booties, sleeper, pants and shirt (the shirt is finished now. I'll post a pictures later. It's so cute!), bib, and now we're working on baby blessing dresses. I'll let you know how that all goes. It'll take a while. It's exciting to thing that our baby can wear clothese I made. Neato!
Looking at this....I really need to learn how to put collages and other stuff on here. Slideshows is all I know. Oh well!

Belly

Well, here are some pictures of my belly. They don't make me look like I have much of one but I sure feel it. Baby is moving a bunch now. I heard we can get the gender checked here really soon but my doctor says wait until 20 weeks at the latest so we have a few weeks. Darn! I really did do a lot of growing this week though. It was fun starting to feel the baby and stuff. I'll post more as I get bigger.

Still growing

My plants did a lot of growing over the week while I were away from Rexburg! I watered them good before leaving but maybe a little too much for some. Now I don't have to do a lot of watering for a while. Mom told me she really likes her garlic chives so I have some planted. I'm excited to be able to use these herbs eventually. The green beans are huge too! Wow. And the tomatoe plant. I can't beleive it. I am wondering if I'll be able to grow them inside much longer.

Rupert, Idaho

Grandma and Grandpa Hunters
We were able to spend a few days in Rupert with Grandma and Grandpa's house this past week. It was nice of them to put up with us that long. We were able to relax a bit and prepare for school again, which started today. Ugh! TJ was able to help Grandpa outside with a lot of stuff including some gardening. Grandpa introduced TJ to a few new computer games too and Grandma and I did a few puzzles. I met the neighbor girl, Hailey, and she introduced me to her goats and horses and one crazy dog. Grandma and Grandpa have a few cats at thier place whetehr they like it or not. There were two mommies with babies at the farm but each time we found them the mommies moved them. I think there's another pregnant one because she was picking out a nice place under the boat and making a bed, possibly for kitties. I hope those others make it though. They were only a cople weeks old or less. Overall, we had a pretty nice week visiting Grandma Grace in Grace, Idaho and seeing my cousins, and visiting Grandma and Grandpa and seeing TJ's cousins. Cousin Jon is back to Rexburg for school now. He just finished his mission to the Phillipines. That boy might not last very long up here with all the pretty girls running around. Wink! Wink! It's nice to be back home anyway, even if we do have to go back to school.

More plants

Just wanted to show more picture of my plants. I got more seeds and a tomatoe plant. The greenbeans are huge and I'm excited for them. They'll be great for canning and stuff.
A short update....school is over!!!! What a semester! It's been tought for both of us though I think this is the longest semester ever and the hardest with being sick and stuff. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't want to be pregnant first trimester during school. Ugh! But, we're both doing great. TJ will be home in a few minutes from his last final and then we'll take a break a go out of Rexburg for the weekend. Yeah! We're going to Grandma Grace's house in Grace, Idaho for Easter and Tuesday we're heading to Rupert to G&G Hunters. It'll be so nice to see family and relax a little before school starts in 12 days. Ugh! Not long enough...but we'll take it. I'm excited it'll be my last semester and hoping I can get through it. At least I'm done being sick...I hope. Well, hope everyone is well on your end...whomever is reading. We send out love and prayers with you all. Have a wonderful weekend! Happy Easter!

My Garden

I love gardening, but for now this is the best I can do. It's so fun to watch things grow and blossom knowing you helped and nurtured and...stuff. Okay, I like plants. I like to get my plants from campus because they're super awesome and super cheap. The white pot has an asparagus plant, the cool shiney one is called a goldfish plant, the taller oe that I really love...I'm not sure what it's called. Also, my garden consists of parsley, dill, spearmint and I just planted a bunch of greenbeans that are growing like crazy. I think they just sprouted two inches over night. Awesome! I love watching them grow. I just have to be careful not to overwater them or anything. I also planted tomatoe plants but they'll take a whiel longer to sprout...if they do. I'm enjoying the planting and stuff but keeping busy in school. I want a pet!

Spring Cake

This is the latest cake for cake decorating class. My final cake is two or three layers and totally due next week. It's goign to be awesome...if I can ever get it officially going. There's so much to do. It's a harder class than I thought it would be. Mostly becasue of all the preperation and time consuming homework and stuff. So, this is my spring cake. I used colorflo for the butterflies and birds. That was cool stuff but it totally stinks...literally. There is a basketweave border and the color...that was an accident but I had to run with it. Flowers were fun. I think there are daisies, dafodiles, mums, some sort of roses and something else or two. I don't remember. Anyway, that's that. Here's my pictures. Oh, and leaves are fun. I like using the piping tools.

Cake Decorating!

I'm in teh funnest cake decorating class this semester. We've made two cakes already but I forgot to take a picture of my first one. Now we just have to figure out who to give them too becasue it's way too much sugar to eat...ever! Wow! This cake has trees made out of waffle cones adn icing, a piping gel lake and everything is eatable except for the deer. I wouldn't recomend eating that! It is a chocolate cake with buttercream icing. MmmM! you can't hardly tell from the pictures but there is long grass on it. so fun to make~!

Love Is In The Air

Happy Valentine's Season!
So, I have this idea about decorating our little Christmas tree with each season. We found some heart ornaments which were just perfect. I also like to decorate this wall thing in our kitchen. It's fun to match things up like that. So I've spread some ornaments and ribbon around. I'm working on making some more ornaments to hang, nothing special, just a little something more. It's so nice to actually be able to decorate my own home with my own ideas. LOVE it!

Fun in the House

Fun in the House!
So, I'm far from being a pro at this blogg stuff but these are some pictures of some fun things we have around our house to help make it all nice and stuff. Most of them are new additions and a few older. Let me see if I can just point some of the thigns out...picture frame from Katee and Shaun, B's coasters that Ashlee made me for my birthday (she's so crafty), we brought back my families old keyboard so I could practice this semester. I only have to practice two hours a day so it's nice to have. Then we've got a beatutiful Home Family Blessing piece that TJ's mom made us for Christmas. There's even a beehive. I love it! So beautiful. Thanks mom!

Okay, let's see, three pictures we picked up on our honeymoon trip (Nauvoo temple x2 and Christ holding a light). We got a new kitchen table last week. It's my Christmas/Valentines presnet from my hubby. Totally worth it. Now I have the old one in my craft room so I can work and get things organized in there.

Mom got me this awesome dessert tray while she was up here this past month. I keep it full! A clock Ashlee made to match our kitche, a beehive cookie jar Ashlee got me for my birthday, a beehive TJ bought me on our Honeymoonm, a beautiful H Ashlee gave us for Christmas....goodness Ashlee has decorated so much of our house...LOL.

We are a part of the Living Scriptures Program which means...we pay money and get stuff. They're really good. Costly but I know they'll be perfect for our children. They are new and improved on DVD and have coloring books and games and trivia also.

Next is the beautiful piece that Jan made us. It's beautiful. I love the house and the colors and what it says. It's so neat and crafty just how I like things. I still have to find a frame for it but I think I know just where to look now so I'll have one soon.

Mom made us a HUNTER sign for Christmas. We still have to put things on the back so I can hang it. I know just the place. Katee made the striped bumblebee plaque with "A receipe to a happy marriage" in it. So neat!

Almost done...Whit and Derrick introduced us to this cube game. You have to click the lighted side/color and to do so you have to frantically turn the cube round and over and over. It's fun! Then pictures I got for Christmas to hand over our couch. I needed something bigger there and I think they work all right for now. A music thing on our wall, a set of angels above our door that mom got for me, a cookie sheet/magnet board that Ashlee made, a Nauvoo Star plate from Nauvoo from TJ, a wall hanging that I like from the DI and a butterfly I made years ago in flower arranging class.

So that's a bit about our home for now. It's so fun to decorate but I need to make time to do it right. I still need to get the craft room in order and put stuff up in there and get the spare room/office organized soon too. My thanks to all who help to make our house a home. Thank you.

HONEYMOON

Oh! So in LOVE!
Better late than never. Our honeymoon was very enjoyable. I'm kind of wishing for some of that warm weather about now. We played tourist around Nauvoo for a couple of days, drove to Winter Quarters/Omaha, Nebraska and camped out for a couple of days. It was so fun! We attended the temple there also. We drove some more and toured more of the church history sites down to Independence, Missouri and toward Kansas City. We went to Boston Red Sox game at Kauffman Stadium there in the KC area. The Sox played the royals. It was SO fun! I took all kinds of picture. It's not often that we get to go to a real baseball game, especially not to see TJ's (and mine) favorite baseball team play. It was so nice to sit back and relax to watch a good ole' baseball game. It was especially nice to not have to travel for a few hours. Looking back to...six months ago, I can't believe it's only been six months. We sure had a fun trip. Hopefully we'll get to go on another trip together in the not too distant future. We'd love to go to Boston and see the Sox play. That'd be awesome!

Nauvoo was so enlightening as were all the sights we visited. We visited the Kanesville Tabernacle replica wher I got to play an organ that's like...160 years old or something...I can't remember. We visited a couple of cemetaries, one The Pioneer Cemetary and the other had people of church significance buried there. It was a very enlightening trip and I'm so glad TJ and I were able to visit all the places we did. It was always my dream trip to take this tour to Nauvoo and to the midwest church sites. I'm grateful for the experience.

Card Making

When we went to Oklahoma on our holiday break to visit TJ's family Jan introduced me to card making. It is so fun! It's relaxing and enjoyable and best of all it's fun to be creative. There are so many 'toys' I never knew existed until I got to use them. I think I found my favorite new hobby. I need to start stocking up on supplies and get tools and stuff. It would be so fun to have people over to make cards and stuff. Gotta try it! I also better clarify that the card with the birdie was given to me for my birthday by Jan. She has all the best ideas!
