Hello all! Happy Halloween! Usually I just post pictures of my wonderful kids but I thought I'd actually write something today. It's been a busy week in the Hunter house!
We've lived in Blackfoot, Idaho for two and a half months now and we are really enjoying it. We like our apartment and it's fun to have some family close by too! Adison had a birthday at the beginning of the month, as did I and our little Timmy is growing so fast right now too.
TJ is enjoying his job as much as he can and being given more responsibilities. He's possible going to be project managing his own project which is a big deal with these very expensive projects. I know he will do a good job. He has had situations with persons at work who are maybe just a little...crabby. One guy had TJ look over some budgeting stuff to find how much the company owed another and what not. Well, this guy had already looked over the numbers so he was just having TJ check his work I guess. TJ came up with totally different numbers. Turns out the other company had made certain payments the other guy missed and he kept making TJ recheck it. Seems like he wasn't treating TJ with much respect or anything if you ask me. I guess this guy had military background and likes things efficient and NOW. Well, TJ showed him and the guy was wrong. GO TJ! Hopefully that guy will ease up on TJ now. He thinks TJ's just another young intern but we have hopes of a job with this company...although the possibilities are...confusing at the moment. Tj does have several people that would like to see him full time there and even the owners daughter who works in accounting has been blessed by TJ's awesome math skills helping her out. She's putting a good word in for him too. Sigh...still looking other places though...just in case. It's tough.
Anyway, back to life. We had been here two months and we'd spoken in church and given prayers, doing our home and visiting teaching...and I was feeling frustrated that we didn't have callings. I guess we're use to being in married student wards that change so often and you have to all have callings and fulfill them to even run the ward. Well, we like our ward and it's super friendly and everyone is so nice. A couple weeks back Tj got called and sustained into the newly reorganized Sunday school presidency. He's over the youth classes. It all happened in one day for him. While that same day I was extended a calling, but not sustained until this past week. I am now the second counselor in the Young Women's Presidency, newly reorganized..and I'm loving it. Now I really hope we get to stay in this area for job purposes. I am over the Beehives!
It's super exciting and very intimidating, this calling. I've been thinking how much I need to be an example in all that I do and be a leader and how, if I want to be an example and teach of certain things...I need to do better in those things myself. I'm hoping to be better at reading the scriptures and making sure to say prayers often and heck...even keeping my house clean in case anyone needed to stop by unannounced. I need to do better in a lot of areas but I feel inspired so hopefully I can improve each day in these areas. I'm so excited.
This week; Wednesday morning was our first meeting where we found out that the Halloween Carnival, held Saturday and put on by the youth...was not planned and prepared for. So, that's our first order of business. Three days to pull that all together which I"m glad to say we did and it was so fun! It's ward and a lot of community people that come...at least 120 kids I believe. It wasn't as many as we planned on, but then we didn't have time to do flyers and stuff either. It was a blast.
Wednesdays meeting was followed by a visiting teaching appointment, then home for a nap with the kids, then my visiting teacher comes over with her kids, then I go visiting teaching again, then go home and get ready for a Stake Leadership Training meeting. Fhew! Big day. Tj made an amazing dinner that night which I was excited to eat with I got home that night. Spaghetti Pie! Yumm! He's had lots of time with Adison this week too! Did I mention it was freezing in the morning on this day? I was walking all over the neighborhood pushing a bundled up Adison in the stroller with Timmy in a carrier on my front. Wow he's heavy. And it was cold. Brr!
Thursday...breather. Make 200 bags of chex mix, dipped pretzels and other snacks. Also, make decorations for carnival.
Friday, we watched cousin Jace during the day and got everyone dressed up for a Halloween carnival held at a local school. It was so fun but for some reason the kids were ornery, even after napping that afternoon. But, still fun. Glad we went.
Saturday the youth cleaned the church, but I didn't attend since Timmy was sick and not sleeping all night...neither did I. Cleaning was followed by stuffing bags for the carnival goodies and then Super Saturday for Relief Society, which I had to take a salad for for the luncheon. By the way, I took a Frito/Zucchini salad that EVERYONE commented on. It was a hit! They all have to have the recipe. I thank Grandma Grace for sharing the recipe with me. It's so good. That made me happy to share that too.
The carnival was a hit. We had a fishpond, which I ran; ring toss, bean bag toss, cookie walk, bobbing for apples and a ball toss where you knock things over. It was fun! I made tons of snacks, mostly for parents but everyone loved it. Several chex snack mixes, dipped pretzles made to look like fingers...all yummy. Big comments on those too! I'm glad to be in a new ward where people share appreciation for my talents and skills...so far. It's always nice to be recognized a bit.
What a week! I'm glad to have some things on my calendar now and I'm sure things won't be that crazy in the future. What a week to be put into the calling though! wow!
Halloween tonight was fun. We had trunk or treating at the church building and then Adison and I went trick or treating around with Cousins Aleesha, Camille and little Jace. So fun! Adison figured it out and was finally holding her bag open for candy and wanted to go to more doors and keep getting candy. We finally went home and said trick or treat to daddy and Adi was ready to go out and go somewhere else. Ha ha! When she finally settled inside she had the bowl of candy TJ was handing out between her legs, choosing what she wanted to put in her own bag of candy. So cute!
We didn't worry too much about costumes. She wore a cinderella outfit my mom got her to the carnival and tonight since it was so chilly we just put fairy wings over her coat. I really didn't get many pictures of Halloween fun either, since I was busy running the booth on carnival night and stuff. Oh well, I guess. We have some anyway.
Both kids are a little sick with runny noses right now and poor Timmy has so much congestion that he wakes up coughing all night long. : ( Other than that we are all doing good. Gee, it's nice to write about what's happening.

Halloween Fun
First up…to get into the Halloween spirit I made some little bats. Super easy and cute! They are hanging in the entryway to our apartment along with some cheesecloth spider webs and orange lights. It’s so fun!
Supplies for bats: desired color of paper/cardstock – I used purple and black; google eyes; doublesided tape or really good glue; fish line or string; something thin and sharp to punch small holes – I used large sewing needle.
Directions: The bats are circles and I cut a chunk out of the top to make it look like ears. Take another circle and cut in half – those halves will be wings. I used decorative scissors that I had to make edges on wings; otherwise you can cut your own design with regular scissors. Use tape/glue to add googel eyes. Tape wings to the back part of bat circle. Poke a hold and feed fishing line through. Tie the fishing line in a knot in the back and cut desired length. Oh, you can make them different sizes and connect smaller ones to larger ones (picture below: tiny black bat is taped to large purple one).
This would be cute as a mobile if you wanted to hang it from a hanger or hoops or some sort but I liked the ‘all over’ idea. I just taped each one around the ceiling.

Restless baby
Timmy has loved being in the bouncer lately. It’s an older model and kind of awkward but he loves being upright and not laying on his back.

HI ADISON! Yummy sucker

Timmy turns 4 months old!
Our little man is not so little, as those who’ve met him can attest to. He’s four months old, seventeen pounds almost, super long…only fits in 6-9 months clothes and I think we might switch from size three to size four diapers because they seem to fit well and…that’s what Adison currently wears. LOL. wow!
So cute! He looks so much like his daddy!
He use to be so little. He is a couple weeks old in the above picture and ten pounds lighter.
Strong boy sites up great in bumbo!
He started on rice cereal this past week. He loves it! Can’t get enough sometimes. It only took him a couple feedings to get down the spoon routine too. He’s a smart boy!
Taking a nap with Daddy!

Happy 2nd Birthday Adison!
Out little Adison turned two this past week. We had a few of her nursery friends over for a play day on the Saturday before her birthday and then she got to go to nursery and play with them again on Sunday; which of course she loves.

1 Year Old
Hard to believe she entered our lives two years ago. She’s sure growing fast. She’s going through a learning phase too, right now. She’s learning to use the potty, repeating so many words and actions. She loves to dance to any music. She’s a smarty pants that girl. LOL. She understands a lot more than we give her credit for I think. What a wonderful, beautiful, happy kid. I’m so grateful to have her in my life. She brightens my life everyday!
Happy Birthday Adison! We love you!
She got a new puzzle, the movie Tangled…which we watch every day. She got a baby stroller and a new bracelet and new winter clothes, a new coat (Thanks Yaya), a new Elmo video, a potty time book, and a few other items. It was a good weekend!
2 Years Old
She enjoyed her cup cake of course! Totally mesmerized be the flames and she clapped when she were blown out and we were done singing to her. In fact, every person that called and sang to her..she’s shy on the phone but she always claps and says “yeah!” So cute! She always eats the sprinkles first, ha-ha. I guess the color looks more appealing to her tummy.
